The aim of a Backgammon game is to move your chips around the Backgammon board and get them from the board faster than your challenger who works just as hard to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Winning a round of Backgammon requires both tactics and good luck. Just how far you will be able to move your chips is up to the numbers from tossing the dice, and just how you move your pieces are decided on by your overall gambling techniques. Enthusiasts use differing techniques in the different stages of a match based on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Strategy
The aim of the Running Game strategy is to entice all your checkers into your inside board and get them off as quickly as you can. This strategy focuses on the speed of advancing your checkers with absolutely no time spent to hit or stop your opponent’s pieces. The ideal scenario to employ this technique is when you believe you might be able to move your own chips faster than your opposing player does: when 1) you have a fewer pieces on the board; 2) all your pieces have moved beyond your opponent’s checkers; or 3) the opponent does not use the hitting or blocking tactic.
The Blocking Game Plan
The primary aim of the blocking technique, by its name, is to stop your opponent’s chips, temporarily, not fretting about moving your checkers quickly. After you have established the barrier for your opponent’s movement with a couple of chips, you can move your other checkers rapidly off the board. You should also have an apparent strategy when to back off and shift the pieces that you used for blocking. The game becomes intriguing when your opposition uses the same blocking strategy.
