As we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of ability and pure luck. The goal is to move your pieces carefully around the board to your inner board and at the same time your opponent moves their checkers toward their home board in the opposing direction. With opposing player chips moving in opposing directions there is going to be conflict and the need for specific strategies at particular instances. Here are the last 2 Backgammon strategies to round out your game.
The Priming Game Strategy
If the aim of the blocking strategy is to hamper the opponents ability to shift her pieces, the Priming Game tactic is to absolutely stop any activity of the opposing player by building a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent’s checkers will either get bumped, or result a bad position if he ever attempts to escape the wall. The ambush of the prime can be established anyplace between point two and point eleven in your game board. After you’ve successfully assembled the prime to block the activity of your competitor, your competitor does not even get a chance to toss the dice, that means you shift your pieces and roll the dice yet again. You will be a winner for sure.
The Back Game Plan
The goals of the Back Game technique and the Blocking Game plan are very similar – to harm your opponent’s positions hoping to better your odds of succeeding, but the Back Game tactic utilizes seperate tactics to achieve that. The Back Game plan is commonly used when you are far behind your opponent. To compete in Backgammon with this plan, you have to control 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This technique is more complex than others to use in Backgammon because it requires careful movement of your checkers and how the checkers are moved is partly the result of the dice toss.
