The Running Game Strategy
The aim of the Running Game strategy is to bring all your checkers into your home board and bear them off as quickly as you can. This technique focuses on the speed of advancing your chips with no time spent to hit or barricade your competitor’s checkers. The ideal scenario to employ this plan is when you believe you might be able to move your own checkers quicker than the opposition does: when 1) you have a fewer chips on the board; 2) all your checkers have moved beyond your opponent’s checkers; or 3) the opposing player doesn’t use the hitting or blocking plan.
The Blocking Game Plan
The main goal of the blocking strategy, by its name, is to stop the competitor’s chips, temporarily, not fretting about shifting your chips rapidly. As soon as you’ve established the blockade for your competitor’s movement with a couple of chips, you can move your other checkers quickly from the board. The player really should also have a good strategy when to extract and shift the pieces that you used for blocking. The game gets interesting when your opponent uses the same blocking strategy.
