The goal of a Backgammon match is to shift your chips around the Backgammon board and get those pieces from the game board faster than your challenger who works just as hard to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Just how far you will be able to shift your checkers is left to the numbers from tossing the dice, and how you shift your chips are decided on by your overall gambling strategies. Enthusiasts use a number of tactics in the differing parts of a match based on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Strategy
The aim of the Running Game technique is to lure all your chips into your home board and bear them off as fast as you can. This technique focuses on the speed of moving your chips with little or no efforts to hit or stop your opponent’s checkers. The ideal scenario to use this plan is when you believe you might be able to move your own pieces quicker than your opposition does: when 1) you have less checkers on the board; 2) all your checkers have moved beyond your competitor’s pieces; or 3) the opponent doesn’t use the hitting or blocking plan.
The Blocking Game Technique
The main aim of the blocking technique, by its name, is to block the competitor’s pieces, temporarily, not fretting about shifting your pieces quickly. After you have established the blockade for your opponent’s movement with a few pieces, you can move your other chips rapidly off the game board. You will need to also have a clear plan when to withdraw and shift the checkers that you employed for the blockade. The game gets interesting when the competitor uses the same blocking technique.
