Participating in backgammon might be exciting, particularly if you are aware of how to win by playing effectively. But every now and then a trick or two can assist you even more and develop you into a better competitor.
One of the best schemes to win is to block your opposing player in. It’ll keep them from advancing their checkers from your home board. This has to be done early in the game to keep your opponents 2 checkers in your home boardthere. So you have to shift your checkers to points 7, five, and 4 as fast as as you can and even 2 and three if achievable. Keep your point of 6 with the 6 checkers where it is. This will guarantee that your competitor can not get out of your home board and help your odds of blocking them in to win.
By blocking your opposition in, they will be hoping for double 6’s once all other options have been completed to get those two pieces away from your home board. If doubles aren’t rolled, your opposition will be forced to move one piece at a time, as long as they roll a six or better, and leave 1 checker behind and vulnerable. Of course in the process of veering off your own checkers, make sure you don’t leave one abandoned where your opponent can send you off to the bar to go through their side.
When in doubt, hit. This can assist you in winning because once your competitor is hit, that piece is the checker they have to move prior to doing anything else in the game. So if you hit them multiple times, they will have to get many checkers back on the board and get past your checkers to win. Make sure you do not hit where it will cause you to be vulnerable to being hit yourself. Unless of course it will be beneficial to you, as in early in the game when your opposition will not have you blocked in.
Landing a hit when you have a lock started can also be good because as soon as you get a few spots barricaded, your challenger will have a harder time moving their pieces out of your home board and winning. It’s even possible to hit them numerous times and get your barricade finished. That way you will be able to stop them from re-entering the game and even having a chance at crushing you.
These two tricks aren’t the only strategy to succeed, but they’re exceptional ideas for beginners to develop into better enthusiasts. When you master these, being victorious most of the time will not seem to be such a hard thing to do.
